At the end of each pay period, our clients email us their payroll summary report or a simple worksheet provided by us. We will ACH premium based on the report each period.

Why pay now when you can- Pay As You Go!

Pay As You Go insurance is still a pretty new concept. When I first started in the insurance industry back in 1998, business owners still purchased workers compensation coverage the old fashion way- 25% down, followed by a few monthly payments to the insurance company.

Even back then it seemed like a dumb way to buy workers compensation. It's easy enough for smaller premiums like clerical, office, and retail companies because those premiums never exceed a few thousand dollars. But when it comes to larger $10k, $20k, and $30k premiums, putting 25% down and paying the entire bill over the next few months can reak havoc on cash flow.

Backin in 1998, I was working for a PEO and the concept of a master policy was all the rage. The problem was that many employers lost their identity and their experience modifier because they were pooled with a the PEO group- for better or worse. Luckily, a better concept was just around the corner.

In early 2000, we were discussing new ideas for a workers compensation program to offer up to payroll bureaus around the country. We thought the concept of reducing or eliminating down payments and billing premium in real time, based on real payroll per class code, seemed like a good idea.

We've been writing Pay As You Go workers compensation ever since and continue to work with insurance companies develop new models and to improve the process. The timing couldn't have neen better. Its a better way to buy workers comp coverage.
